Prompt: Hair can be a powerful way people express who they are and where they come from. Think about your own hair, your style, texture, or how you choose to wear it. How does your hair connect to your culture or your identity? Describe a moment when your hair made you feel proud, uncomfortable, or misunderstood, and explain why.

 Prompt Response: My hair is what describes me because when people see me they know who I am and how my hair looks so I would say it identifies me, but I don't think my hair has anything to do with my culture. Mar 9 Prompt: After completing the assignments on making college affordable and finding the best college fit, what is one thing you learned that you did not know before? Why do you think this information is important for seniors to understand?

 Prompt Response: After completing the assignment one thing I learned that I didn't know before is how the sticker price isn't actually what most college students pay. it surprised me how much college cost and not as affordable. 

Mar 5 Prompt: Writing is a process, and the first draft is rarely perfect. Strong writers improve their work through revision. After reviewing and revising your literary argument paragraph, what changes did you make to strengthen your writing?:

 Prompt Response: After reviewing my writing a change I made was changing the pov I was writing it in I was writing it as a 3rd person pov but I changed it to the a 1st person pov. This change changed the way my writing sounded and looked.

Mar 4 Prompt: Today we discussed why academic writing must reflect your own thinking and understanding rather than relying on artificial intelligence to generate your ideas. After learning about the expectations for authentic writing, reflect on why it is important for students to write essays in their own words

 Prompt Response: Its important for students to write essays on their own words instead on AI because writing with your own ideas helps you learn about what your write. If you write just copying you don't learn as much as you would if you wrote it in your words. 

Mar 3 Prompt: Today we focused on constructing a strong literary argument paragraph about Wild and whether discomfort is necessary for meaningful personal growth. After working through the claim-evidence-analysis structure, explain which part of the paragraph was most challenging for you and why. Do you find it more difficult to create an arguable claim or to move beyond summary in your analysis?

 Prompt Response: The part that was hard for me was the analysis part. It was more easy to find evidence but I couldn't find a way to connect it to my claim. I find it more difficult to to move beyond the summary because it takes more thinking to explain the meaning. 

Mar 2 Prompt: Reflect on your experiences with essay writing. What aspects of writing essays do you find most engaging or challenging? Discuss your personal strengths as a writer as well as specific areas where you experience difficulty or would like to improve. Support your reflection with clear examples from your own writing experiences.

 Prompt Response:  From my experiences in writing essays the part I find most engaging is when ideas just come to your head and you write constantly. The parts in writing essays I am good at is coming up with ideas as I write but the parts I need work on is being able to word them to write them down the ideas I have in my head. An example of this is when I was writing a essay about a book in 11th grade literature I had the ideas in my head but couldn''t come up with ways to write it down so my grade didn't come how I Wanted it to.

Feb 25 Prompt: Reflect on the simile and metaphor worksheet. Which topic challenged you the most when creating your figurative language, and why? In your response, explain what made that topic difficult and how you worked through the challenge (or what you might do differently next time).

 Prompt Response: While doing the simile and metaphor worksheet the topic that challenged me the most was was all of them because I had to really think about topics I could relate to and topics I could use to create similes and metaphors. It was challenging for me but I worked through it by really thinking about topics I could relate to and just brainstorming different similes and metaphors.
