Feb 11/12 Consider your experience reading The Color Purple (a fictional novel), Fences (a play/drama), and Wild (a nonfiction memoir). Which type of longer text did you enjoy the most, the novel, the play, or the memoir, and which did you find the most challenging? Explain your preference, describe what made that type of text more engaging or accessible for you, and reflect on how understanding your preference might influence how you approach future readings.

 Prompt Response: After reading these 3 texts I would say the one I enjoyed the most was the color purple (fictional novel). The one I found most challenging to me was the color purple because of just how much reading it has and you have to read it to understand. The color purple made me feel more engaged because of how it makes you understand what they are saying so I understand more. Now in the future I know what type of books to look for.

Feb 3 What is the most challenging part of writing an essay for you? Is it brainstorming, organizing ideas, writing a strong thesis, or something else? How do you plan to overcome this challenge?

 Prompt Response: The most challenging part for me about writing an essay is the having the constancy to keep writing even when my hands get tired. When my hands start to get tired I feel like I run out of ideas which ends up making it harder to think and write. I plan to overcome these challenges by practiceing more in writing so my hands get used to writeing.

Feb 4/5 What is the most challenging part of working in a group? Discuss a time when a group assignment did not go as well as you planned and how you learned from that experience.

Prompt Response: The most challenging part about working in a group is making sure everyone does their part in the group. A time group assignment didn´t go as planned was in my 2nd period class culinary we had a project we had to do on google slides and everyone had to do a slide each but when it was time to turn it in and present the project wasn´t complete. We didn´t end up getting full credit for the assignment because it was no complete. What I learned from this assignment was to always communicate with your group to see if everyone done there part.
